« on: January 13, 2015, 11:38:05 am »
One more reason to quit drinking right away post-hep C diagnosis: Researchers at British mag, the New Scientist went alcohol-free for just one month to see what would happen to their livers.

They experienced a 15% decline in liver fat (a precursor to fibrosis and cirrhosis), a 16% decline in blood glucose levels as well as improved cholesterol, sleep and weight loss results.

The findings show the extent of damage that even casual drinking can have on the liver, as well as how quickly the liver can bounce back with a hep C-healthy lifestyle.
