« on: April 19, 2015, 12:22:48 am »
Are there any Long term/ or short term studies on on previous hepc patients who took Harvoni?   Since FDA approval was October 2014, and the previous trials were conducted I assume last year.

Does anyone have in links they could post.

Great question BubbaT.
Some of our forum family who were on clinical trials are still being followed and might be for up to 5 years.

I have wondered if we are, in way, the long term study :o

Just can't bring myself to worry about long term effects of any medication to treat hep c.

I must treat I have no choice. The danger of early death due to cirrhosis is the only long term effect I am concerned with. No matter what effects I maybe could have from my treatments are of much less concern to me than my liver disease.

I hear you Lynn K. While it is worthwhile keeping an eye out for long term stuff that might be of concern, the condition of the liver is a immediate concern. More so for some than others. I occasionally wonder about long term effects but then take the pill. Just hoping to there. Good luck to all.
