Good to read your doing well on this. I am on riba and sovaldi for 24 weeks. I have 6 weeks left starrting tomorrow. Doc talked to me about this being my next option last visit in case this does not work. Daklinza was not out when I started my treatment. I am glad your on it and am going to keep up with your progress if you don't mind.  I hate the thought of more meds but this new combo is showibg great results in studys.

Hi TexasC+,
Nice to hear from a fellow genotype 3a!  Interesting to see that you were also diagnosed in April of this year!

I hope your treatment is going well.  I have heard that Sovaldi + riba for 24 weeks is very effective for treatment naive individuals.  I hope you have positive news in 6 weeks.

We can beat this!!

Awesome news for you both Step One and Chuck3a!  I hope you both are sailing through with minimal side effects as well.

I'm hoping more and more folks are approved for these valuable new medications! I truly believe early detection followed by early treatment IS the only way to stay one step ahead of the HCV pandemic.  I count my blessings every day.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for supporting me and each other!

Week 6 done; only 6 more to go!!  Feeling good and very positive!  Some occasional headaches, but otherwise no sides.  I feel a bit more energetic overall.  Hopefully... this will last post treatment and is not a med side effect.   ;)

I've feel very fortunate in that I've been able to stay pretty active...running 4-5 days/week. Also working full time.

I'm actually looking forward to my 8 week blood draw.

They delivered my last bottles of Sovaldi and Daklinza today and I went for my 8 week blood draws at lunch also.  I can see the finish line for sure!

Every day I read posts of new forum members starting their treatment; it is so amazing and exciting to read.  Here's to access to treatment and a potential for cure to all with chronic HCV!!

Sounds Great Mary !  Running too, that's fantastic. "Just Willie  g"
Thanks for words of encouragement Willie g.  I love to run and hike and my hope is that I will continue to do both well into my golden years.    :)
