Started my treatment.....
« on: September 23, 2015, 09:13:52 am »
I just started my treatment with harvoni 4 days ago, I read as much as I could about the side effects, so I knew what to expect. I have been living with hep c for 30 years, mostly in denial. I didn't drink, I eat right, I exercised everyday.... the disease never seem to bother me, except I was always extremely fatigued... I have taken harvoni now for 4 days, with minimal side effects, & I will have to say, I have never felt better in my entire life then I have felt in the last 4 days. I have so much energy, a feeling of enlightenment, that I've never experienced before. I can't explain it, nothing else has changed. I will keep u updated through this forum,

Hi and Welcome, I too just started treatment yesterday. No real side effects and hope not to have any. The trick all these wonderful forum friends have told me is to drink "WATER" and lots of it. Which I have been doing. I am new here and still trying to learn all I can. Hope you keep having a smooth ride. Im right behind you. ;)

Ok Who can now tell me what tx means?? Thanks Went to Dr, today added my lab results. Not sure what the viral load is either.

Tx=short for treatment.

Viral load is a unit of measure used for monitoring effectiveness of treatment.  High or low, in and of itself, is not a reflection of the health of your liver.

It ranges widely.  12 million IU/mL, 7 million IU/mL, etc.  I started at 4,201950 IU/mL

IU=international units.  mL=milliliters.

So you'll see why people are ecstatic when their viral load drops from 7 million to, say 700.  In four weeks.  It happens!  ;D

Thanks a lot Else. I just got my labs today from Dr. and don't see anything on it about the viral load. That is why I was asking. Guessing I'll have wait for next labs so they can compare the 2 results. Again, Thanks for your help.. Let me go drink some more water..LOL
