Having achieved a 12 week EOT of undetected I have to admit my outlook has changed.  I went through a 24 week course of Harvoni from Feb. 23rd to Aug. 9th 2015.  I was undetected the whole time on therapy as well as 1, 5 and 12 weeks EOT.  I went through a 12 week course of therapy in 2014 of Solvadi & Olysio.  I was undetected the whole time on that treatment but relapsed several months later.  I was not tested after immediately completing treatment in 2014. It was with cautious optimism that I awaited the results of my 12 week EOT on Harvoni.  I knew I had beat it this time but still wanted the hard verification of seeing it in writing.  My life has been on pause since 1973 when I first contracted the disease.  I put up certain barriers to cope and always had a black cloud following me.  Those days are gone.  I can now hit the PLAY button of living life.  I wish that everyone afflicted with this disease gets to this point in time.  Realize that newer more specific combinations are coming out to deal with the harder to treat cases but do not give up hope. Your day will come.

Congrats are hardly enough for how we all feel with SVR but congrats to you and a mile long parade to celebrate

chino, I'm very glad that YOUR day has come, all the sweeter because of the earlier setback. Thanks for posting encouragement for others.

The setback on Solvadi/Olysio was very disappointing to say the least, but I did not give up hope.  When the 12 week post EOT came back as undetected I had to think about living once again.  For too many years I had bottled up emotions and fears by adopting a hard mantle.  That insidious disease manifested itself in my psyche and now it is gone.  The way I see it is it is a second chance at life.

That's exactly how I feel too! I felt like giving up I was depressed. Just recently I got the call from my nurse practitioner that I was undetected. Every day I wake up and sunrises I feel so blessed like I have a new life. So I know exactly how you feel! We must celebrate, for all of who have lived through that moment!!
