One down, 55 to go....
« on: March 15, 2016, 07:33:55 pm »
I am officially on the train as of 1 hour ago.  I was a bit nervous, but not as bad as I expected to be.  I have a lot of tapioca pudding ready to go, anyone who has problems swallowing should give it a try!!  I know it is mind over matter, and I am planning to feel good and expecting great results.  I think staying busy will help too.  I will keep you posted as the days progress!   Brie

You are all so kind and thank you for the caring thoughts.   Well the first night was rather uneventful.  Keeping up my water intake and at times my heart was racing a bit, but that could be my own doing!!   I will take it a day at a time, but so glad to have such great support along the way.  Brie

Hi Everyone,

Okay so I just took my 4th harvoni pill.  So far I am feeling okay.  I was a little nauseous last night.  I was afraid I might vomit and it was only a few hours after I took my pill.  I drank some ginger ale and that helped, but then I couldn't sleep at all. I think I slept about an hour and I have been going strong all day.  I am not tired yet.  I already struggled with insomnia, so hopefully it won't be a every night thing.  I have been drinking plenty of water and have not experienced any headaches yet.  Wondering if I should get a prescription for zofran just in case I feel sick again.  I asked my Doctor about it before starting but she said I wouldn't have a problem as long as I take it with food.  I do take my pill right after dinner, but will always have ginger ale available!!  I will check in again soon.  Best of luck to all who are just starting as well!!!  Brie

Hi Philadelphia,

Thank you, it really is an achievement for me!  I was so crazy at first that I was ready to not take the med because of it.  But that was truly crazy, so I kept at it and  found tapioca pudding works great.  Now, I will be happy when I don't have to take it anymore, but I am getting it done and so happy for that!  Brie  ;)

Brie41, somehow I missed your recent posts and am very glad I stumbled across them - so glad the pudding is the ticket! I just took pill # 24 and so far, so good.  Sometimes feel a bit "queasy" but it doesn't last long, usually before dinner and it goes away once I eat. I take mine with food (breakfast) and think that helps. I'm noticing my stomach seems to feel best with food in it, so I'm wary of letting my weight go up and am watching what I eat. I've read on here that some lose, some gain; I'd just like to maintain if possible. But if a few more # is what gets me to that SVR, I can deal with it.  Overall, this has been extremely uneventful! We just need to keep our eye on the prize and do whatever it is we have to do to get there. Keep in touch, FT
