I was reading through the forums and I kept seeing ads for World Hepatitis Day and Hispanic Hepatitis Day. Wouldn't it make sense to have a National or World Hepatitis Testing Day? Maybe there is one but I've never heard of it. We need to get people tested for Hepatitis to start to end this problem.

I know it is big in hiv but i don't think there is one for hepatitis. it's a good idea.
here's the hiv one...

biggest problem in hiv is there is too many days. every different group has there own day. should just get together and make one or two super big

I find most people really don't understand hepatitis or why people should get tested. If you tell someone about your hep c and why you're glad you know it's still hard for people to understand.
If we had a big hep testing day maybe people would understand it and test for it. I hear all these stats about how many people in the U.S. have hep c (3M? 5M? more?) but we really don't know. If more people got tested maybe we'd know.

Looks like the CDC is starting one this year. It is set for May 19.
