Title: First Day Today
Post by: Fischnet on November 30, 2017, 09:23:14 am
I took my first Harvoni this morning at 8 am CST.
Just wondering what to expect?

Welcome, Fischnet!

If you're like most people, you can expect a smooth ride if you keep well hydrated (not necessarily just water -- all fluids count). One rule of thumb is to drink at least 1 ounce of liquid per 2 pounds of body weight. If you're 160#, that'd be ten 8-ounce glasses. That should minimize any headaches.

Harvoni gives a lot of people extra energy (my experience), but it fatigues other people. Since you took it in the morning, the extra energy shouldn't be a problem; if you end up fatigued, your doctor or the pharmacist connected with your Harvoni can tell you how to adjust the time you take the pill so that you're tired at night.

The prescribing information that came all folded up with your bottle of pills contains a chart of the most common side effects found during the clinical trials. As you can see, few people were affected by them.

Best wishes,

Gnatty
