Biomagnetic Therapy & 12 Mo Wks of Harvoni
« on: May 14, 2015, 11:32:46 am »
I drove 800 RT miles to get my 2nd session of BioMagnetic Pair (BMP) Therapy yesterday. She said I tested + for HCV again and told me again to, wash all my silverware, glasses, in hot water, get new tooth brush, clean pillow case, just as if all these things were contaminated with Hep C. She wants to rule out me re infecting myself, but I have a gut feeling BMP is NOT going to remove my Hep C. BMP does seem to balance my body in a nice way, and I may be wrong but I think my HCV is thumbing it's nose at BMP.

I found out that my PCP / DO has treated some people with Harvoni, and he says he's willing to do the job of my gastro. I'd rather he do it. Gastro is 25 miles away, plus I pay a $40 OOP fee to see him, because he's a specialist. No co pay with my PCP. PCP seems to think 12 more weeks on Harvoni would be a good idea.

Gastro has some new med in mind that's coming out in about 4 weeks.
I did well on Harvoni, I have a feeling I just was not on it long enough. I should have been on it for 12 weeks, and not just 8, and if I had, I 'd be HCV free today.

Any advice on this?

Hi Lukey,

I didn't see your liver fibrosis score posted?
I see you were tx, for 8 weeks..

I'm not aware of bmp or what is does, but concerning the primary care dr, treating you with additional harvoni For 12 more weeks, if it's covered I would take that.

I have not been pleased with my GI dr.   It's his lack of care, and professionalism,
His big head has got to go, he could use some humble pie...
I have 2 weeks to go of 12..

I have been happy with the primary care in my case....
Age 57 male

Hi Bubba,

Had a biopsy around 1991 and had no visible damage then.

With these new meds, and MD can easily manage people them.
Dealing with the GI's office has been OK, but I think I'll like dealing with my PCP better.

I've had a couple of big headed GI MDs that were awful. Some were pushy too, and I hated that.

:)
