Title: Because genotype matters, type 2
Post by: petra on October 29, 2014, 09:07:33 am
I was diagnosed with Hep C 2 a few months ago. Have recently started Sovaldi and Ribavirin. Gilead, through their Momentum Program is covering "half" of the cost. 12 weeks is about 33 thousand. I am in Canada.
I would appreciate any anecdotal info regarding this treatment or experiences with the disease itself. I am a 59 year old female, considered slightly underweight, don't smoke [stopped even having a glass of wine after being diagnosed], blood work normal... except of course for the Hep C diagnosis.

I'm Tx naive, Geno 2b and waiting for better Tx for geno 2's. Tx without riba.---too many difficult sides with riba so I'm waiting and hoping for riba free Tx for us 2's. My enzymes are not too bad--5-10 higher than normal range and viral load at 1.6 mill. My Doc said I can wait awhile. Meanwhile Im learning all I can.
