I was diagnosed with Hep C, Geno Type 1a in June of 2006. In August 2006, with a viral load of 46 million, I started Interferon and Ribovirin. By February 2007, I was very sick and was not responding to the treatment and my doctor took me off this treatment. I was told there was no "cure" for Hep C at that time. I have waited and prayed about my situation since that time. In June of this year (2014) I was told by my new doctor that there is great response to new drugs, Solvaldi and Olysio. I started these new drugs shortly thereafter, with a viral load of 25 million and after 4 weeks of treatment, had my blood test. I got a call and was told this virus is now non-detectable! Praise God from whom all blessing flow. I will end my 12 week treatment on September 30th and if I stay "non-detectable" I will be considered CURED after 6 more months. This treatment is very easy compared to my 2006 treatment...I simply take 2 pills a day (which I am allergic to but manage with creams and benedryl). I am giving God all the glory for this new medicine and pray everyone else has my same results. Please don't hesitate to try this new cure..yes it is now a cure!
