CIMIVIR -L is Harvoni?
« on: April 17, 2016, 08:08:41 am »
Hi everyone.

My aunt has just received a course of CIMIVIR -L from India (from a totally reputable doctor) for herself and her daughter through a friend. I see on the forums lots of information about people taking Harvoni for Hep C and I was wondering if CIMIVIR -L is fundamentally different?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

ps. I came here to find out about best diets for my folks and hydration intake. ALso my Aunt has had issues with Interferon so I was curious about that too.

Biocon are the manufacturers of Cimivir-L. It is sofosbuvir &.ledipasvir (you'll often see it shortened to sof/led). It is a generic form of Harvoni (also sof/led).

So yes. It's just like Harvoni, provided of course that it came from a reputable organisation and is indeed what you paid for.

Drink plenty of water is the advice everyone will give you. And often they'll say "if your urine is pale yellow trending towards clearish you've got hydration right. About 8 glasses a day perhaps? Others will give more specific information.

In terms of diet, low fat, low sugar, low salt, avoid processed foods, eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegies. A sensible, healthy diet is a good start. :)

All the best for your family.

Thank you for the on the ball response. I'm confident the medicine is genuine as it came from a very reputable Doctor (and he double checked batch numbers from the hospital) so I am really exited to see a turnaround in the health status of my aunt and her daughter.
Thank you about the guidance on hydration and diet...that sounds like a simple enough regime to follow.
Hope to update soon with good news...my family will probably begin treatment tomorrow.
(Much rejoicing in the family!)

:)

Hi Simonsays
I bought Cimivir-L, which was sent to London, I had to get it in London when there is illegal to send it to Denmark directly.
I started up in treatment 17 January 2017 is now on the 6-day treatment with Cimiver-L
Has so far not had any side effects.
How is your treatment done ?
