Congrats Gug but I have to ask what does your doctor say about your elevated enzymes
diagnosed-early 2000's
F3 grade 2-as of Dec. 2012 genotype 1a
2 attempts at Inteferon based tx stopped after 7 weeksX2
Started Harvoni for 12 weeks monotherapy-June 13, 2015 Added Ribavirin June 24th
Beginning AST 117 ALT 261 VL 932876

Right, Id want to know about that too.  BTW, did you see the starting viral load?  Ive never seen a number like that.

BTW, never seen this either:

"3/16/15   ALT 87   AST 52   HCV Detected <43 IU/ml   " 

Usually, when you see a 'less than' value, its less than the quantifiable range of the assay...  Ive never seen a test that uses 43 as its LLOQ!

I see my Dr. in the AM. I understand that The ALT/AST numbers reflect the aggravation of the liver, but with a VL of over 46 million it makes sense. But I am not a Hepatologist. I will talk with her and let you know.

Saw my Dr. today and she said I am cured. SVR12 is the new SVR24. As for the ALT/AST she said she has seen it before and ultimately it will return to a normal range. She indicated several underlying factors such as: Fibrosis, Liver healing, Iron and a couple others of many that could be contributing factors. But she said not to worry that ultimately all that would settle into normal range.
