LAST DOSE TODAY joining the Viekira EOT team
« on: September 21, 2015, 11:02:45 pm »
Hi All,
I just finished my 12 week Viekira ( no riba) treatment today!! HURRAY!!

Happy but a bit concerned about the wicked hives I developed the last 3 weeks. Anyone out there have this side and did it go away post treatment???

See doc in 8 days but he hasn't been too helpful along the journey.

GT 1b, UND at week 4.

Thanks and now the wall of waiting till SVR.

Rashes are aplenty here on the forum, but hives are another matter. I am very glad your treatment is over and done and the hives will have no chance to interfere.

It will be interesting to see if they do indeed disappear with EOT. Of course, you never want to be 'interesting' to anyone in health care.

Congratulations on finishing bkmusic!
I swear it seems like you just started. Time flies truly and that should be good news to all who are currently on treatment and feeling like it will never end.
Cheers and best wishes on reaching SVR

Sapphire
Thanks so much for your post. You and all those in the forum have really made it so helpful to get to this point on the journey.

I did do a search about the hives on v-pak and it was on the list of less frequent sides and hoping that is really it. Overthinking that it also may be an auto immune response to the whole hep c and treatment system overload. There have been some posts about auto immune bouncing around. Hope I'm just not overthinking and fingers crossed that they do go away. They do have a tendency to make me a bit obsessive but I am working on calming my mind about it.

You are correct the time really did go by quickly although while in the midst of it one feels a bit over focused on the whole thing. Looking forward to freeing my thoughts of this whole journey and getting some wisdom from the whole experience.  ;)

Will keep group posted after I see doc next week and wishing all my fellows a fantastic voyage on the road to recovery.

Congratulations bkmusic!

Looking forward to joining you on the post tx team! No ribas sounds very very inviting! This stuff is some pretty harsh stuff to get rid of this beastie. Hopefully, once your body has time, and enough fluids etc. to flush all the dead cells, your hives will clear. Very difficult to ignore hives!

I'm not a big "visualizer", but I really loved a post that I can't remember the person to credit it with. Basically, they said to visualize seeing the damage that's happened from this virus going into reverse gear. See those bad effects, cells, damaged veins etc. going back in time, little by little till you're back to the you before c.

It took time for that damage to occur. Knowing it will take time to get back to "normal" hopefully, will help us :)

Hang in there and, yay! No more pills!!!
