Title: It was hard on my wife
Post by: Johnp56 on May 14, 2014, 03:39:01 pm
Hi everyone! My name is John and I'm a liver transplant survivor. I would like to take time to thank my wife for standing by me threw out the whole ordeal, the different treatments before the transplant, my high ammonia levels,me acting crazy, the post transplant ( I had a hard time after the transplant, infection, had to be reopened, I was in the hospital a total of 7 months) I would have never survived without her and my family never giving up on me.I truly believe it was harder on them as it was on me.Thank God those doƧtors know what they're doing. It is very important to have loved ones to stand by you,I couldn't have done it without them

John,
You are right on... I have said many times that my treatment would have been unbearable and perhaps impossible without the support of my wife.  It may hay have been rougher on her that I.  Luckily treatments are getting easier, but having a partner there with you makes a world of difference for sure!  -jack
