Title: Hepatic encephalopathy after treatment

My wife completed Sovaldi/Olysio/Ribavarin treatment 4 weeks ago. Almost no side effects to treatment!!!  Blood work shows no virus.  She was diagnosed with hepatic encephalopathy and advanced cirrhosis prior to treatment-confusion, day/night reversal, inability to concentrate, and short term memory loss.
She is still showing signs of HE and being treated with lactulose and Xifaxin (6 months now).  What is the likelihood of her HE symptoms going away now that she is virus free?

I have read that the liver is largest organ and can regenerate and heal itself once it is free from the attacks of the virus.

Dalllasgreg - I don't think it is likely, but there have been a few cases of cirrhosis reversal.
