Hello, and sorry for starting a new thread.
I have currently a pressure behind my right lower rib, and suspected hep B/C infection from an exposure 180 days ago.
175 days after exposure I had hepatitis B (HBsAg/HBcAg) and C(HCV-Ab) test done, which was negative! Is these test final and conclusive?
Is it impossible I am hepatitis infected if my liver values, and tests are good 175 days after exposure?
Thanks in advance

These tests are generally quite conclusive. I would suspect a different cause for the pressure, such as the gall bladder.

Generally conclusive? What do you mean by that? You mean, are they not 100%? If no, when?
The tests are done with Abbot architect if that helps.
Had my gallbladder checked 3 months ago with a CT scan, nothing.

The tests are reliable, but humans are not. There is always the rare situation in which someone's test was mishandled. So rare, I haven't met anyone that has happened to, but I'm not going to say it couldn't happen.

Iporterrn,
Ok, if there is _no_ human error, it the results then conclusive (100%) 175 days after the exposure?

I would assume they are negative, and if you have any concerns, retest in 6 months.
