North Dakota's oil industry may be growing rapidly, but so are its health issues. In addition to more than doubling local HIV rates from 2007-2013, the oil boom (and its population spikes) have also been linked with increases of drug use, prostitution and rates of syphilis gonorrhea and HCV.
