Title: Liver Cancer Tests for Hep B-Positive Cirrhotics

A new PLOS ONE study of  27,584 untreated HBV-positive people showed that 23% percent of those with cirrhosis developed hepatocellular carcinoma or HCC (the most common form of liver cancer).

That's compared with just 1% of hepatitis B-positive people without cirrhosis. Proof that people with hepatitis B virus and cirrhosis should be prioritized for liver cancer screening.
