A significant proportion (5-11%) of parents in the U.S. say they may refuse to get their children vaccinated against the hepatitis B virus — despite the fact that the shot is universally recommended for all newborns in this country. Many parents cite safety concerns for the vaccine. Others thought their kids weren’t at risk for the virus. Here’s what doctors are doing about it:
