Selfishly, I must admit to myself and the forum that it is time to move on. I found this wonderful place of comfort when I needed answers and reassurance battling the Dragon. Since I have gotten over the SVR12 mark it is time to get focused on the future.
I am returning to work the first of the year. I am also beginning to reconnect with family and old friends that I had walled off because of the fog.
Last night I attended what I though was going to be a Christmas party, but to my surprise it was a "Slayed the Dragon Party". My sister had a cake made that was a dragon with a severed head and a sword across its body. Of course I cried again! I danced most of the night with many people including myself. Needless to say, my feet and back are killing me today but it was worth it.
Words can't express the gratitude that I have for the Moderators and members who I have met here. One thing that pleases me is the fact that many of the members who were new and needing information or fighting for meds when I was finishing treatment got them and now they are the ones helping the "newbies" with questions and information. This fact has made it easier to leave the forum without too much guilt or trepidation.
I will post back in 3 months after the hopefully final visit and discharge from the care of my infectious disease specialist.

I am so happy for you and that was so nice your family had that party for you.
I just hate the thought of you not being here but I understand your need to move on. Selfishly for me I wish you would stay and continue to share your post journey and your wisdom gathered throughout the years.
I am so going to miss you.

I'm at this moment taking my last pill of a 24 week sol/riba combo. If you been reading you know this is a tuff treatment. I worked all thru it. If I get the cure status from this tricky combo, I promise I will be more selfish and retire from my job, and move on.

Congratulations Bucky and I am thrilled that you danced the night away! I am on Day 11 of HARVONI with only 73 days left and appreciate all who pour their heart out by sharing their hopes, their fears, their progress and failures. Have a wonderful, healthy rest of your life!

Just looked at your history, damm.... 3 times interferon, then sol/oly. You are a long distance runner for sure. I used to run long distance competition back in the day.
The trick is don't stop till you hit the finish line, then you are a winner no matter what place you are. You keep going girl, no quit in you.
