Title: Treatment Number 3

Hi everyone. I am new here. My husband just started Harvoni as his treatment # 3. He first tried Riba/Interferon and broke through at 24 weeks. Next, Incivek with Riba/Interferon two years ago. Made it all the way to week 44 that time. Had an obscure side effect of the Interferon. He developed sarcoidosis in his lungs, so he can never take that again. He just started Harvoni on 2/8, so it isn't even a week yet. So far no side effects at all. Just hoping the third time is a charm, so to speak. I don't think he can do too many more of these treatments. Anita.

For me, this was the one that did it. I wish I could say that it was because "3 time's a charm," but I think it was more like, "Harvoni's a charm."

Hope you are as pleasantly surprised by how much easier it is than the other two were.

Hi Anita,

Harvoni is well tolerated and the side effects are nothing like what is experienced while taking Interferon (been there and done that).

Your husband should do very well on this treatment, with minimal or no side effects.
