Is that all the info on that? Looks like undetectable to me - how does your doc read it?

They said the test they use will always say <12.

Lucinda, It was pretty tough waiting on my Dr to call after I got the results. You made me feel at ease when you thought that this meant I was undetectable. My NP told me that the test could not detect below 12. The range of the test is 12 to 100,000,000. So I guess it makes sense <12 means undetectable. She said they all come back saying that for the undetectable folks. .
Thanks for all you do. Lots of good stuff on this site.

Thanks gang for the Happy Dances! Still not sinking in yet! Never thought this day would come. They have been telling me for 17 years "There is a cure just around the corner." Probably in a couple of years! Man that was a long two years! October will tell the whole story. Bring it on SRV24!

Al, funny you say that about the airguns in the service. I suspect that is how I got hepc in 1970. U.S.Navy and my buddy I enlisted with has it too! He was right beside me in line. They banned them for a reason. Good idea, seemed like they were clean with no needles. But who would have thought, cut you with the high pressure air and blew that infected blood right into the next guy.

Interpretation
This assay has a result range of 15 to 100,000,000 IU/mL (1.18 log to 8.00 log IU/mL) for quantification of hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA in serum.
An "Undetected" result indicates that the HCV is absent in the patient’s serum specimen.
A result of "<15 IU/mL (<1.18 log IU/mL)" indicates that HCV RNA is detected, but the HCV RNA level present cannot be quantified accurately below this lower limit of quantification of this assay. When clinically indicated, follow-up testing with this assay is recommended in 1 to 2 months. To assess response-guided therapy eligibility, an "Undetected" result is required, and a result of "<15 IU/mL mL (<1.18 log IU/mL)" should not be considered equivalent to an "Undetected" result.
