Title: Started Harvoni yesterday. Genotype 4
Post by: Marry ill on February 28, 2015, 04:54:41 pm: I was diagnosed with Hep C genotype 4 about ten years ago. Contracted it when I was 19. Tainted needle. Biopsy revealed stage 1 liver disease. Tried the interferon, ribavarin mix. Went 40 weeks, 0 titer, then my Thyroid gave up the ghost. Started Harvoni yesterday after being denied once because of my genotype. Hopeful. So far just very mild hangover feeling. I take my pill at 9pm. I'm 57 in May, which is my end date. Happy birthday to me!

Post by: BubbaT on March 01, 2015, 04:57:24 pm: Hi marry, I wanted to tell you I just got approved I start this week on harvoni, I was tested in 95 type 1a, and never treated until now, recent fibroscan was an f4, so I got approved and am ready to kill this virus.

Do u think the pill makes it harder to sleep at nite, since I'm still working I wonder would it be better to take in the am?

What's ur opinion?

Post by: newguy1 on July 20, 2015, 12:03:58 am: hi Marry ill! I also just got diagnosed with genotype 4 and am worried that Harvoni is not FDA approved for it yet. Are you in the US? Any idea as to how you were able to get insurance approval for the treatment? My doctor seems to think he'll be able to get it after appealing but I am naturally anxious....
