Title: Good news on harvoni
Post by: jstive on March 23, 2015, 01:16:41 pm
Hello everyone. I am new to this forum so I hope that I am posting this correct.  I have had hep c for several years (Iam 62 yrs. young) the geno is type 1. Anyway I have been taking harvoni since March 11,2015. I had an appointment with my liver doctor on March 19, well the day before my appointment the doctors office called and said that I missed a bloodwork appointment. So I agreed to get it done before my appointment, hoping there would be some kind of indication as to how the harvoni was working. It had only been 8 days of harvoni use when I seen my doctor. I was hoping for a small change in my viral load. Well to my surprise it went from 6 million viral load when I started to 404 after only 8 days. I asked is that 404 million he said no 404. Needless to say Iam happy as heck with this info. He said by my April 8 appointment it will be undetectable. I still have to go the full 6 months of treatment.  As far as side effects so far I have had none.  This drug is a godsend and it looks like I will be virus free when I am finished. Harvoni is gonna wipe this virus out. Thanks for listening.
