Please read Rick Nash's post "Google #Hep C" http://blogs.hepmag.com/ricknash/2015/04/google_hep_c.html (http://blogs.hepmag.com/ricknash/2015/04/google_hep_c.html)
Here is what the CDC says abut HCV sexual transmission:
Can Hepatitis C be spread through sexual contact?
Yes, but the risk of transmission from sexual contact is believed to be low. The risk increases for those who have multiple sex partners, have a sexually transmitted disease, engage in rough sex, or are infected with HIV.
Let's get this bad info out before it spreads. It takes a few seconds to notify Google.
-
Google changed their hep C info from "mainly spread by sexual contact" to "spread easily." Yikes - they just jumped from the frying pan in to the fire. Not only do they say that hep C is spread easily, under treatment it says:
Prescription Antiviral: Simeprevir, Ribavirin (Rebetol)
Other treatments: Sofosbuvir, Interferon alfa-2b by injection, Interferon alfacon-1 by injection
Also common
Procedures: Liver transplantation
Please continue to give Google feedback

Lucinda can you give simple instructions for us who are technically challenged on how to give feedback/notify Google?
-
Done!
-
Done. Interestingly it doesn't show up on google.com.au. I had to switch to google.com to see it.

Sapphire - Rick Nash has step-by-step instructions on http://canythingbutaverage.blogspot.com/2015/04/please-help-google-presently-has.html (http://canythingbutaverage.blogspot.com/2015/04/please-help-google-presently-has.html)
Note: you can't fix this by clicking on his site - you must go to google, put "hepatitis C" in to the search field, and then look to the right side of the screen for Google's hep C info - the "feedback" button is how you send them info.
Thanks for asking.

Thank you Lucinda for the alert... And Thank you Rick, for the step-by-step instructions! :)
Blessing,
