Our one and only lab that does the HCV RNA test here in BC is getting knocked for a loop as a side effect of Harvoni. My test is now estimated to take anywhere up to two weeks or more. Maybe I should go to school again and learn the trade!
One thing though, it is easy to forget how difficult it was going through the wringer with the process and treatments 10 plus years ago. For those who have never experienced the waiting involved in being treated it can be very difficult to understand why things take so long. As one doctor once told me "patience is a virtue but patients can be a royal pain in the ass!"
Fortunately my liver panel is fine though and the results come back within a day or two at most. So in my case UND seems the most likely outcome. Touch wood, scratch a stay, turn three times..etc
I guess I should not have drowned my cell phone because it is hard getting a bear to loan you theirs. Where I will be next week unfortunately the bears are not on even on the same networks.
