Dear All
I have been following the forum for a long time but have been inactive when it comes to posts.
I am a GT-3 (with little or no fibrosis) and started treatment with Sovaldi+Riba for 24 weeks 2 weeks back.
My ALT and AST were elevated before the treatment but became perfectly OK after 2 weeks of SOV+RIBA.
Thanks-fully, I am not experiencing any sorts of side effects except for a little insomnia.
I am posting my blood test results before treatment and after 2 weeks of treatment as follows:
TEST 8.8.15 24.8.15 Ref Range
ALT 102 31.17 0-50
AST 46 21.94 0-40
Hemoglobin 15.2 15.4 13-17
RBC 5 4.86 4.5-5.7
WBC 4.8 7.27 4-11
Platelets 184 205 150-400
My Doc is planning to do a viral load test after 4 weeks of starting the treatment.
Hopeful to get SVR....
Cheers

Hi All
I forgot to take Sovaldi in the morning (my usual time) however i took it at night, should i take next Sovaldi at the usual time? Would this cause a double dose?
Pls advise

Hi, msu -- sounds like you're human ;)
The manufacturer, Gilead, has this to say in the Prescribing Information (a printed copy probably came with your bottle): "If you miss a dose of SOVALDI, take the missed dose as soon as you remember the same day. Do not take more than 1 tablet (400 mg) of SOVALDI in a day. Take your next dose of SOVALDI at your regular time the next day."
The medical professional managing my care said it isn't even dangerous if a patient accidentally takes two HARVONI (which = Sovaldi + ledipasvir) in the same day. During clinical trials, some patients took higher doses than we do; it's part of the trials process of then reducing the dose to find out how little is still effective. Thus, there's some leeway.
