Had to quit after 2nd bottle done, after 3rd bottle already sent. Doc doesn't want it. Anyone know how not to waste this? Legalities ?
-
Keep it. What if you need it in the future

Thanks Scout, My VL is undetected for 3 labs. You think I would need it?
-
You never know...and that is $33,000 worth of medicine you have there...if for some ungodly reason something happens and you need it in the future your insurance could say "nope, we already sent you your fill" I don't know,,,but I would hang on to it...just in case
-
Possibly another company coming out w new drug.I guess you are right, who knows. Just bothers me that some people have to go into debt for medicine they need.
-
Are you still taking med?
-
What do you mean by "had to quit" after second bottle ?
-
Anxiety and B/P unmanageable. 3 undetected labs.

DisposeMyMeds.org is an online resource to help you to find medication disposal programs at the local independent community pharmacy near you. This public service program is presented by the NCPA Foundation.

Not sure if this reply would pass moderator snuff, but I've seen A LOT of people posting how they have begged to extend a month but their Dr. or insurance won't approve. If it were me, and I knew I couldn't use the rx, I'd look for one of these poor souls, pm them and get it to them somehow. That's just me...
God bless you with SVR!

Hi Espo , sorry you had to quit but fabulous you were undetected 3 times. I almost did not get Harvoni because of the wording in my pharmacy coverage. They broke down & covered me 2 months only because major medical gave them an out. My GI wants me on it for 12 weeks but so far denied. I am hoping if my numbers are not undetected in 2 weeks it will happen but so far they only will cover for 8 weeks. That stuff is golden so please hang on to it for awhile. Thanks

Espo2 - Did you discuss this with your doc before stopping? 3 undetectable viral loads does not equal a permanent cure

The only legal choice here is to find a safe disposal site. I'll refer you to the previous post:

Please, no discussion about what to do with medication, other than safe disposal. There are legal issues here.
