I saw this headline in Healio: A panel of U.S. hepatologists convened and provided recommendations for updating the treatment algorithm for hepatitis B virus infection, according to a report published in Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Interesting, on the same site this information about Roche just releasing new test kits which might help reduce the costs of testing for HCV, HBV and HPV provided they too are not insanely expensive per test kit.

Just maybe the sudden increased demand for hep testing is finally starting to reduce testing costs, here is hoping that we soon see pcr rna testing more readily available.
Instead of having to rely upon nothing but the government lab like we do here in Canada! It is long over due and it is insulting to think that the government will not trust public hospitals and the private labs to do the work of testing and reporting hepatitis.
