Title: Computer graphic of virus
Post by: Forest dweller on March 14, 2016, 06:52:04 pm
Hi everyone....

Thought it would be great if Gilead would produce a short clip of what it looks like in our blood while the drug is blocking replication etc.
Anyone know about something like this?? Then we could actually visualize it happening..just a thought

Well as Harvoni prevents viral replication maybe imagine the virus wearing condoms?

Just kidding around just joking with you :)

Good one Lynn !
Actually I've imagined it as a blob of pinky- purple liquid that is attracted to a turquoise spikey ball,  then wraps it up - like vacum packed stuff.  Then it gets swept out by my immune system..blood.
But what does it really look like...........?

KEEP UP THE JOKES!!!!!

Forest Dweller, I've attached Queen's song "Another one bites the dust" to my progress on Harvoni.  I just imagine the viruses melting or dissolving or exploding ...... but the spiky thing is a good one, too! I actually went out and bought Queen's Greatest Hits so I could dance to this song every day -- love it!! FT

That's awesome, FT.  You got me thinking maybe "We Are The Champions" should be the song for these forums, lol.

Hi Forest dweller,

This may sound cheesy and old hat, but -

Imagine your blood stream and liver are now a maze with white dots (representing the virus) placed all around it.  The treatment is Pacman (or Ms Pacman) racing around and eating up all the dots.  Clear the board!

Best of luck at beating the game! :)

On a Harvoni website I saw a couple of images/graphics of the hep c virus surrounded by the sofosbuvir and then the next image the ledipasvir cutting off the tail of the virus.. Thats not a joke.. I will search for it and post.

Even if someone has fictionalized the image it is still fun to believe that the virus is getting it's tail cut in half!

CureSeeker, I agree "We are the Champions" as very applicable to our situations, too.  I do hope to be dancing to that one at the appropriate time! FT
