Title: Risky oral sex
Post by: Metroknox on November 24, 2016, 09:34:53 am
Hello,
I'm a 25 year old male, and about 4 weeks ago I made the mistake of hiring a escort from an agency. We had unprotected oral and protected intercourse. It is the unprotected oral that is scaring me, because during it her teeth kept brushing against my penis to the point where is was hurting a little bit. When we finished I noticed that the spot on my penis that kept hitting with her teeth was red but not bleeding. She also had large tattoo across her back.

At week 2, I felt a constant urge urinate and a little sore in my abs (almost as if I just finished an ab workout). I went and tested for gonnerhea, chlamydia, and a hiv rapid test. All came back negative, so it eased my mind, and symptoms went away.

At week 4, the ab discomfort came back and I had really really mild lower back pain for about 2 days. At first I thought it was my imagination, but then my friend said that I looked pale, and that same day I had a small white stool. I haven't had anymore since then.

Now at week 5, the discomfort has moved to the upper right quadrant of my chest and my back. It comes and goes.

What are the chances that I have been infected with HCV? Should I be worried?

I'm going to get tested again at week 8. This time for HCV.

Thanks for the help.

The symptoms that you describe are not at all common in an early stage infection with HCV. What I would be much more concerned about is the possibility of HBV which is known to transmit more easily with sexual activity.

However random testing for HCV usually includes all forms of the hepatitis virus as a standard practice. Also if at the same time you had a binge with a tonne of booze you can experience the same symptoms that you describe. It is quite common to knock the human liver for six with booze and feel hepatic area discomfort weeks later as the liver heals itself.

Yes test for hepatitis but make sure that it is a comprehensive test. One thing to know is that non specific hepatic area pain can be caused by other conditions and can be very hard to diagnose.

If the pain in the region persists or worsens then a good physician will call for an abdominal ultra sound to see if there are problems with the bile duct. Gal stones are the most common cause for this kind of pain so if you have a family history of people having this issue it is a good thing to check this out as well.

Thank you for the reply. I am vaccinated for both hepatitis A and B so I'm not too worried about that.

Hepatitis c requires blood to blood contact  it is not  generally considered a STD

Hep c infected blood must enter your blood stream.

You are extremely low risk you do not need to be worried. If you would like to have an antibody test wait 6 months to be fully confident of your results.

Hello Lynn,

The fact that her teeth kept scraping against me is what is causing my anxiety. However, there wasn't any blood, so I may be overthinking this.

Thank you.

Yes first she would have to have hep c ten her blood woud have to enter through an open wound. Was she bleeding and were you cut and bleeding? Otherwise yes you are overthinking this

I didn't have any visible bleeding, but she was scraping me with her teeth enough to cause a red mark (possible micro tears?). I'm not sure if she was bleeding, but if she were, would that be a likely scenario for transmission?

You did not have an open wound so no

If you are concerned, get tested. If positive get treated and get cured but either way you have nothing to worry about

In any event this situation appears to pose very low risk of transmission

Hello,

So I tested on the 7th week mark, and it was "non reactive" for hep a,b,c. I'll test again on the third and sixth month mark. I still have chest and back pains, but it may be a result of the anxiety. Thank you so much for the information guys, my mind is more at ease.

I'll update at the three and sixth month mark.
