Title: Results: Undetected
Post by: Raymond C. on February 14, 2017, 01:28:46 pm
VA lab called said I was undetected for the virus. Scheduling an appointment for a ultra sound scan to see how much of the liver was damaged. Guess it gives a read out of the firmness of the liver so that way they can analize the damage that has been done if any. Thanks for all the support from all of you and hope everyone comes out UNDETECTED! I will update after the ultra sound results which will not be scheduled until early summer.

Congratulations, Ray. I see by your other posts that you are more than 12 weeks post-treatment, so you are CURED! Happy golfing!

Thank you for the reply. To tell you the truth, I feel the same as before the treatment nothing seems to have changed but the knowledge that I am cured..Always have been active, just drink one cup of coffee in the morning, lots of water, gator aid, and an ocassional beer.

Congrats Ray on your cure!

Yeah really hep cud called a silent disease as for most people they don't have symptoms unless they have serious liver damage but that takes many years if it ever happens.

Like you I feel no different really now post treatment than before at least physically. But emotionall I know I am free of the virus that was damaging my liver for decades and I won't have any more liver damage from the virus. Also I don't have to feel like a walking illness afraid of infecting those I care about or if I have an accidental cut at work and worrying about infecting a coworker.

Best to you and congrats again!

Congratulations Ray,
I treated through the VA also.I requested another scan 6 months post treatment and my liver was already back in the normal range.Tell them when you go for this one that you would like another done in 6 months(they'll be happy to do it).Welcome to the other side. 8)
