Hey, I hope everyone is doing well. I finished up Harvoni 7 weeks ago and showed undetected at 6 weeks and at EOT. I'm now waiting until 12 weeks for the big labs. Anyway, my mind has just been going with the unknowns and I could use some encouragement. Thanks :)

Well if it helps at all being not detected at 4 weeks post your odds of staying that way is about 98.5% likely you will stay that way at SVR12 you were tested even later than that at 6 weeks.
I really believe it is very unlikely you will relapse at this point the odds are very much in your favor you are cured.
I know it was tough on all of us that long wait for SVR 12 but these meds are very effective so think positive you will be not detected and cured believe it!

Hi Steven, and yes, we all know how difficult waiting for the "big test" is/was!! All you can do is try to relax, keep a positive attitude, occupy yourself w/ activities you enjoy, and wait. It will be here before you know it, that day when you go in and get that very important test. You can do this!

Steven your chances of not clearing are related somewhat to NS5A RAVs. If you were pretested for the known ones then you have even less to sweat about. HOWEVER even if you are NS5A RAV positive your chances of clearing are still very high. This is because the drug does still inhibit production of HCV even in those who have a NS5A RAV strain of HCV.
Secondly it seems that less than 10% of those who are GT1a have NS5A RAV strains of the virus.
Yes in some ways the wait to 12 weeks is a crap shoot and those who do fail to reach SVR deserve to feel cheated or cursed and mope and even throw bricks through windows!
But thank Heavens the crap shoot is not what it once was for us when most of us had less than a 50% chance of clearing and the treatment was 48 weeks in duration with interferon because we had GT1a. The riba rage and anemia damn near killed me the first time around and I can tell you that I felt like throwing some bricks through windows when I got the news that my year of treatment had failed in 2005.
Here is to you and a full cure very shortly! Even if you are amongst the unlucky few who fail treatment the current crop of new meds seem to eliminate the problem we had of becoming warehoused a few years back when we failed treatment. 8)
Also I suspect that Gilead is most likely being pushed to cut deals on treatment failures so just perhaps the insurance companies might not be as bad getting to a retreat. And there is some serious competition happening to the magic bullet Sovaldi.
Either way your odds of clearing are still in the high 90%s because you were clear at EOT so I would not sweat it.
