Back again....hope all is well!! So my Gastro doctor went through all my meds with me (3 not bad)...When I told him I was on TRT (weekly cypionate injections monitored closely by Endocriniologist), he told me to stop it immediately that it impacts the liver enzyme levels....I've read that stopping T cold turkey is not the best thing to do....however, I understand the docs point he doesnt want anything effecting the blood test results, except what he is looking for...however, I have been on T for 4 years...Ive been diligent about having my blood tested every 8-12 weeks and have never had a problem with liver enzymes (or PSA for that matter).....Amyone else with Hep C do TRT? Did you have to stop taking T? I really dont want to as the benefits greatly outweigh the risks for me....at least before I was HEP C..positive...After two weeks of no injections I already have seen a huge dropoff in energy and libido....Anyone with similar experience? Again, I can't see into the mind of your doctor, but this advice along with some of the other things you are saying is making me wonder if you need a second opinion. I would thing that if you have been on T for 4 years and monitored, that you would not stop it - seems to confound that data rather than simplify. In general, liver specialists support medically-supervised hormone replacement.

I couldn't agree with you more! I have booked an appointment with a top notch hepatologist. Unfortunately I had to wait a month for appointment so in the interim I will continue to go to gastro to monitor my blood leeks! At the same time I'm going to speak with my endocrinologist to get her opinion! Thanks
