Hello everyone!
I am about to begin the Viekira Pak treatment. I have the express scripts prescription insurance. They approved the medication and are quoting my 12 weeks of treatment around $9000. On the Abbvie VP website I saw that I can print a co-pay card out that says "may pay as little as $5 out-of- pocket". Sounds awesome, if that's the case! Has anyone used it and it actually worked? Do you have any other suggestions as to how I can reduce $9000?

My prescription for Harvoni was also through Express Scripts through my employer although my copay was only $30 per bottle so would have been $180. However I used the Harvoni copay coupon and only paid $5 per bottle so my costs were $30 for my 6 month treatment.
My suggestion is to contact Abbvie and check it out

I saw this small print too, it is just hard to believe that such an expensive medication may cost me only $5. With all prescription medication cost rising over the years even for people with insurance it sounds surreal :) My genetic Hep B med is costing me between $2000 - 5000 a year (depending of wthether i met the deductible or not) and I have not a bad insurance.
Will see what my final VPAK bill says..
I am very glad your Harvoni prescription didn't cost you a fortune :)
