Title: Shaving cut
Post by: Jodaha on December 12, 2017, 08:21:14 am
Just cut myself shaving. It won’t stop bleeding. I can’t wait till my blood is no longer poison. Day 18 of 56 of HARVONI.

Jodaha, there is a fairly good chance your blood is already no longer poison -- Harvoni works quickly. A couple of years ago, some doctors would test the viral loads of their Harvoni patients after just two weeks of treatment, and some of those results were already showing undetected. (The remaining treatment is to try to destroy any HCV hiding in a nook or cranny.)

That’s very encouraging. The main reason for seeking the treatment was to end living in fear of infecting someone else..... those someone’s eventually became my wife and now 16 month old daughter.

Yes it is such a great feeling not having to worry every time we get a cut. I still have a smile when I get a bleeding cut and knowing it is not a danger to anyone anymore.

Yeah ex hep c patients are weird like that ;)
