Title: 8 Months Post treatment Harvoni. Small trace.
Post by: Username98098 on December 26, 2017, 10:18:41 pm
Nothing detected for quite a few months post treatment. Here I am at 8 months and showing a small detection. Last time this happened during treatment he said not to worry and the next test showed not detected. I'm hopping its the same with this one.

What do you think?

Wow first I have seen something like this.

When I was treated with Sovaldi and Olysio my pre treatment viral load was about 2 million IU/mL. I was not detected at EOT but when tested at 12 weeks post my viral load came roaring back to 2.4 million IU/mL in just 12 short weeks. From what I understand about how viruses multiply which is exponentially hep c will very quickly repopulate if there are surviving virus cells capable of reproducing.

So while it is really strange you are having this result hopefully it is either a lab error if some kind or just statistical noise with your result for some reason.

I can imagine how scary this would be but I would go with your doctors advice and try not to worry too much which I know is easy to say but harder to do. Just retest when your doctor suggests and as you said hopefully it is nothing to worry about.

Please come back to let us know. As of yet I haven’t heard of any late relapses so hoping you are not going to break with that trend.

Best of luck

My first test was in the 2 million range also. Then right before EOT 4/19 I showed a little sign. He mentioned lab test error and such also. Next test was ND. Now here I am at 8 months Post and this again. I have an appointment soon. And will get labs done again just to see. Last time I worried myself to death but it is what it is. I'm not going to freak out this time till I get labs done again. And even then if I have to undergo another round of treatment then so be it.
I feel better than I have in years so something good is going on.
