I tried on a pantsuit at the mall yesterday. As I was about to pull the jumpsuit up (with both legs in) I saw the crotch area had dried period blood! Total gag!
As a breastfeeding mom, I’m wondering if there is any risk of exposure to hepatitis with the dried blood rubbing against my legs.
Besides showering as soon as I got home...should I be worried? Or just grossed out some woman decided to re-rack her soiled clothes at the store and I touched them?

Was there any chance the suspected blood entered your blood stream through a fresh open bleeding wound?
If not then no risk
Only about 1% of the population has hep c so the odds of randomly encountering someone with hep c is about 1 in 100. Several things would have to have happened. The person would have had to have hep c plus you don’t know for certain that was blood. While hep c can be found in menstrual blood it is only a theoretical risk of transmission during sex while the female partner is menstruating. And again that blood assuming it was blood and assuming it was hep c infected blood has to enter your blood stream through a fresh bleeding injury not mearly contacting the surface of the skin.
I assume you brought this to the attention of the store so they could remove the garment from their racks.
