Title: SVR16 worry about relapse

I am wondering what the cchancs of relapsing after SVR16? I am Genotype 1B and was on 12 weeks generics harvoni, viraload was 4.2 millions before treatent..

The odds or remaining cured are about 99.8%

There have been exceedingly few relapses after SVR 12 I believe we had one person report this happened to them.

This is why doctors are calling SVR 12 (12 weeks after treatment has ended) cured. In fact many doctors don’t test for the virus after SVR 12 unless there is reason to suspect reinfection like a rise in liver enzymes tests or a suspected exposure.

We all shared these worries. For myself with 3 treatment null responses with interferon based treatments and a relapse after Sovaldi Olysio as well as having cirrhosis I did ask to check at 6 months post and was found to be still not detected. If Harvoni can cure me it can cure you.

Thanks Lynn, sounds so good, 99.8%, thats amazing..my doctor told me that i will do one more blood test in a year and if i am still clear they will discharge me from the system, i guess thats normal?

Nothing is standard these meds are still so new. I guess maybe your doctors standard :)
