Title: Tenofovir

After a year of monitoring I have been diagnosed with Chronic HBV. I am on my 3rd week of oral treatments with Tenofovir and was wondering how long does this med take to start working?

I would expect as with most if not all medicines it would begin to do its work as soon as it enters your blood stream and builds up an effective dose over time.

I am just a lay person for this question you should ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Well I keep getting these episodes of sick and very week, doc stated that should stop once Tenofovir gets into my system. It hit me again Wed and I have been sick but not down since then. That is pretty much the norm.

Have you read about the common side effects?

Once you body becomes used to the medicine they should lessen with time.
