Title: D63: 1 yr after HARVONI SOLO EOT: negative
Post by: D63 on April 12, 2018, 11:16:54 am
Hey there, got my results today. SVR 1 year after and 0 detected. I'll be having an ultrasound of my gallbladder, as I have had some issues indicative of gallbladder trouble but want to be sure. He threw in liver and kidneys in the imaging.

All I have is insomnia, joint pain and I tire easily. There are two types of weaknesses I have noticed since during and after treatment: actual weakness vs. perceived weakness. Therefore, when I have a task at hand and perceive weakness, I find once I get going that I have strength to carry it out. Case on point is the gym.
Sometimes it's a matter of having an energy crisis and caffeine will help for a short time. Then there is actual weakness. Sometimes if I crouch for too long or try to lift something that I can normally lift, I don't have the strength to stand myself up, or lift whatever I need to. Maybe some of you have noticed this.

Other than that, I'm cured. Not happy about the lingering joint pain but if this SVR continues, perhaps I'll get my mitochondria link back?

Take care, all.

Congratulations on your cure that is fantastic news!

Really your SVR12 test is called by most doctors considered cured but always nice to see it against 22 months post treatment. With being SVR for so long there is about zero chance you would ever be detected unless somehow you became reinfected through a new exposure.

I have some aches and pains as well as not as strong as I once was but I attribute this to having just turned 60 and needing to get some exercise to keep the ravages of increasing age at bay. Plus having cirrhosis for 10 years likely does not help much.

Hoping you will regain some strength and vigor as time goes on.

:)  Hi babes, sorry about the late return with time zones and all.

The "thing" with forums, is that so many people are different and that being said, so many are the same, the dichotomy of existence I suppose. I'm just glad to be rid of it, in a manner of speaking, because we really don't know, do we?

There's a saying: "I slept with faith and awakened with a corpse in my arms when I awakened; but I  drank and danced all night with doubts and found her to be a virgin, in the morning."

I have no illusions about what has happened. And to take into account the circumstances before, and at this moment, possibly before me but too early to tell. Too early. This is where I am.

I am elated, and with current circumstances notwithstanding, okay with the prognosis.

In spite of any negative slant, I want to report, as I am capable at this time, and with honest perception to say I'm ok. I have nothing less for this noble group but courage to see what's on the other side and it is my hope that many take this report, admittedly, with a grain of salt. We have been through a lot, irrespective of our treatments, and do deserve a few rubber corks, here and there, as time passes and we regain our wits.

I wish you all well, and in the spirit of the Divine- a great recompense!

Hi Everyone!!  FutureThinker here, haven't been on here for a long time but wanted to share my LAST requested HCV test --- still undetected! Also, liver enzymes remain very normal. I still do not have what I consider a normal energy/stamina level, but it is so much better than pre-treatment, I am just hopeful it will continue to improve. My cognitive status is so much better than before treatment, too, so overall --- I am happy! When I see the Harvoni commercials on TV, I still smile.  I remain very, very grateful for this drug that saved my life after having HCV for over 40 years.

Hope this post finds most of you improving, too, after treatment.  Keep the faith! All the best to everyone on this forum, FT

Congrats FT! That's very good news. Good to hear from you. I still frequent these forums too, all though I don't post as often as I used to.

D3:  I, too, hope to pop the 'rubber cork' (from a wine bottle) for the first time this new century.   BUT that prospect isn't without a price to pay in the form of unpleasant Harvoni side effects.  Hopefully, though, the side effects will be worth the end of my Hep C death sentence.

Hey FT congrats that is fantastic news! Sorry I missed your post until just today.

I am still cured 3 years post with normal liver enzymes. I haven’t done a viral load since one year post.

I still have low platelets from having cirrhosis for 10.5 years now but at least hep c is no longer around to cause any additional damage.

All the best to you :)
