Title: 9/19/18 Post Harvoni 2.5 Years. Co-nfected with Non-reactive B
Post by: Apples1998 on September 19, 2018, 04:45:23 pm
Hello good people,

Recovering addict coming up on my 11th year free of drugs and alcohol...I was diagnosed in 1998 Hep B & C. I was always told my Hep B was basically non-reactive and there was nothing to worry about in regards to this.

I took Interferon and Neuopogen /and failed after 6 months in 2009 due to Blood Platelet and White Blood Cells battle.

Took Harvoni and cured April 2016.

January 2017 I started losing some hair
I jave attributed this to age 38 and let it be.

This Monday 9/17/18 started feeling the dull achy pain near the liver area and has persisted alongside of the extremely sensitive to the touch skin on both back (stronger on upper right side) and entire torso.

A little concerned hopped on internet and have read many articles I wish I didn't see but too late for that now.

I remain optimistic and have scheduled appt for tomorrow. I will ask for a new complete liver panel and autoimmune panel as well.

If there is anything you good people can think of what else to ask that would be cool.

Thanks and best of luck to everyone on this forum.
Excuse any typos as this was done on my phone.

In general the liver does not really feel pain as there are no pain receptor nerves in the liver.

Skin sensitivity is not associated with liver disease.

Of course, based on your medical history seeing your liver specialist sounds like a great idea. I do tend to believe it is probably not related to your liver but I guess you should let your doctor tried to figure out what’s going on.

Best of luck on your upcoming appointments let us know how it goes

Hey Apples,

I would request an ultra sound of the abdomen to rule things out. The gall bladder is located near the liver and some experience pain from there.
Get your AFP tumor marker labs as well.

Best of luck,
