Title: Hep C Paranoia! Help
Post by: ad3110 on December 05, 2018, 09:09:09 am
I have been so paranoid that I have hep c. A few years ago I dated someone & his brother had it. He wasn’t into injection drugs as far as I know, but he was big into marijuana (not saying this is bad). The person I was with never had any health issues in the 2 years we dated. I just randomly remembered his brother had hep c & now i’m freaking out. I got tested yesterday to calm my nerves....is this even something I should be concerned about? Am I overreacting? I have been dating someone new for over 2 years now & i just keep thinking I gave him hep c.

Is this even something I should be concerned about?
No

Am I overreacting?
Yes

The odds of mother to child transmission is less than 5%
Hep c requires blood infected with hep c to enter the blood stream of an uninfected person. Hep c is not easily transmitted.
