Hi, anyone has experience to share after switching back to Baraclude (entecavir) after treatment with Viread or Vemlidy?
Viread adversely affected my eGFR. I am age 52 and have a kidney function of an 80-year old (eGFR=75). Switching to Vemlidy seems to have stabilized kidney function but may have contributed to my prediabetic condition.
The reason I suspect Vemlidy's adverse effect on blood sugar is that my wife also switched from Viread to Vemlidy at the same time I did, and her blood sugar numbers also put her in prediabetic range as well (N=2).
We monitor our blood sugars periodically to manage diet's impact on our glucose metabolism.
