Title: Dental coverage and Hep C
Post by: seanT2 on October 12, 2019, 05:55:36 pm
Hi, I had hep c for years (transfusion as baby for cleft lip repair) and have been cleared of it by Vikeria Pak/Ribavirin. Looking into it, it's clear that some of my dental issues likely stemmed from both having a cleft lip and having the hep c/treatment as ribavirin can cause dry mouth . I know that straight dental won't cover all the work I need but does anyone know about trying to get medical to cover it if it's not clearly just cosmetic/wasn't drugs or neglect, but the result of a medical condition? I have United for medical, delta for dental. Trying to research before fighting it out with insurance. Any insight appreciated.

Why do you feel your insurance cover your dental work?
