Title: Hep C or B from a cigarette
Post by: Scared on January 15, 2020, 11:38:29 am
Hello! So I do scare that could have been infected or was there risk at all. About 5weeks ago I had few beers and went to bar, no big deal so far. I used to smoke and usually when drinkin I have cigarets but not this time so I asked one cigaret from a person I don't know. He gave me the cigaret box where I took one cigarett and smoked it normally. We didn't share it so it hasn't been anyone elses mouth but now I have made this theory in my head that if he have had blood, saliva or other bodyfluids on fingers when he has taken cigarett/cigaretts he could have contamined those cigaretts. I didn't see any blood and my lips were fine, no crackin or bleedin wounds. My gums sometimes bleed when brushing but not like all the time. Is there risk to be infected this way?

Perhabs I read too much these theoriticals ways to transmission could occur and feed my anxiety. One nurse just told that even if there is thereotical way it doesn't mean that it would hapen.

I am more afraid to pass hepatitis to my kids some how accidentally. If there is my blood or some other body fluids for some reason on objects like remote control, gamepad, doorknob, toilet seat, on to floor, towel... So tired to use bleaching and desinfection liquids to trying keep them safe.

No risk seek counseling for anxiety and possibly anti-anxiety medication
