Title: What's the risk of getting Hep C from a tattoo?
Post by: frankfromatlanta on June 13, 2011, 04:42:08 pm
I hear talk all the time to be careful about Hep C if I'm planning to get a tattoo. Is this real? It seems like in today's world where everyone is hyper sensitive it should be safe as long as you use a reputable place. Feedback appreciated  ???

My two cents is just make sure the place is legit and you should be fine. I'm not into tattoos but several of my friends are and they have never had a problem.

Any reputable tattoo artist will welcome questions about their health and safety precautions and practices. They should be using single-use, disposable needles, tubing and ink pots. If the artist dismisses your questions and concerns or gives you vague, non-answers, run, don't walk, to another artist and try again.
