Where can I find programs that can help with treatment.  I have a friend that had lab done and was informed of hcv. He has no medical insurance.  He's been paying cash and the Dr. had told him the lab for the geno type is expensive. I need to help him.

Hi Roxy,

Sorry to hear about your friend.

Here is our Patient Assistance and Co-Pay Programs for Viral Hepatitis Drugs page... http://www.hepmag.com/articles/hepatitis_paps_copays_20506.shtml

We are in the middle of adding Janssen and Gilead information. Here are two sources to use in the meantime:
Gilead -- http://www.mysupportpath.com/
Janssen -- http://www.natap.org/2013/HCV/120413_01.htm

Good luck to your friend.
Ian

Hi Roxy,
Is there a reason your friend isn't applying for insurance? The Affordable Care Act is opening the door for many.

Thank You for responding.  I wasn't feeling very well during the last 2 months when the doctor had me take 4 pills a day.  Very unfocused.  I had informed him of the Obama care.  he applied.  Thanks
