I think I found a solution for breathing problems...
« on: August 03, 2015, 05:51:04 pm »
I had breathing problems for weeks.  Went to lung doc and a cardiologist.  Cardiologist gave me Furosemide 20mg (water pill) I cleared this with my Gastro.  Took it 4 days ago and it has helped a lot.  I also dropped about 5lbs of water weight.  I am still having my heart checked.  Had lungs x rayed and they are clear.

Just wanted to share...

I am just not to sure about these meds...kinda wish I waited, but with a stage 3-4 fib.  I figured either the hep or these pills would kill me.

I keep pushing along...

What treatment are you on? Are you taking ribavirin?

I am just on Harvoni and have had some intermittent bouts of shortness of breath - nothing severe, but enough to make me raise it with my doctor. He had another patient who also had my side effects and so just to be on the safe side, he's sending me for along function test.

I hope you're feeling better. Unfortunately I also have not been side effect free from Harvoni, but everyone is different.
1982 - Contracted HCV genotype 1a (blood transfusion at birth)
2002 - Diagnosed with HCV, liver biopsy showed early fibrosis
2005 - 48 wks Interferon/Ribavirin, relapsed at EOT
May 2015 - Fibroscan showed F0, pre treatment viral load 223,000 IU/mL
Aug 4th, 2015 - started 12 week course Harvoni
